My Way Ends Today

 You don't want to be in a place of confusion or unhappiness, well, do you?

It takes tenacity and being intentional more than just saying the words.  Today I am going stop smoking or this year I'm going to stop talking negative about my life.  Now is the time to take the steps to move forward to your joy and peace.  

It is January 19, 2019.  I am listening to the Messenger speak on "Become a Better You"- YES!  I want to be better.  There is a saying "when you know better you do better" 

Psalms 55:10

• Declutter our minds:  Detox Yourself                                          -Renew it in Christ
• Rest from your judgement:  It will be clouded                               - Rest on Jesus
• Limit social media: You don't have to keep up with the Jones   -Keep up with God
• Walk away from unhealthy relationships: Just stop! Go Pray!   -Have a relationship with the Almighty
• Check yourself: Remove negative talk                                  -Speak to the Lilly of the Valley
• Walk in forgiveness (walk in love even when you don't feel like it)    -He is a Comforter

We can expect the best in God.   Jeremiah 29:11 

So, let's get out of our comfort zone, make the healthy choices, and trust The Great I AM.  Overall, always be in prayer.   We are all individuals sifted and molded.  Don't compare yourself to others.  You are so Beautiful and Awesome.  Now Shine...starting today!

You can't expect increase if you don't do anything!   

UPDATE****************

If you get or obtain any type of increase just because you put the work in don't gloat and think you did it on your own (we were not created to do our own thing)

                    God Allowed it

                    God Blessed it

                    God gave it for you to enjoy the benefits.......................WHY?

                    because you put the work in (Brothers and Sisters you can't expect increase lying in your bed all day, watching t.v., and/or waiting on someone to do something for you).

                    because you took a chance

                    because you were willing to grow

                    because you believed (Increase demands Faith and getting out of your comfort zone) 

All your hard work God was behind you increasing you to the next level, physically, spiritually, and financially.  

The year is 2019 of January 13th and 20th (this was a 2-part series) the Messenger spoke on "Preparing for Increase".  What stuck out the most is when he said, " You can't walk with God and don't see increase in your life."  WOA!

Sooooo,  It's safe to say, if I don't see any type of increase in my life, I need to check my relationship with God. I have to make up in my mind and choose GOD.  Everyone, this is a benefit of knowing God (obtain spiritual fulfillment).  Proverbs 8: 17

How do we prepare for increase?

1. Check your relationship with God:  Choose Him!

2. Put the work in and ask yourself are you doing your best

3. Think about someone else besides yourself (Did you know God loves a cheerful giver?)

4. Know and understand that even on good ground a seed does not produce the same (your increase will not look like your neighbors or brothers/sisters...stop comparing)

5. Seek God in ALL things

God is basically saying if you are not doing your best your increase is next to nothing.  OH yes, you may benefit from a blessing that's because you were touched by an individual "who WINS".  Whoever that person is they have the VICTORY because of their relationship with God.  

Do you want to see increase in your life?  Get over yourself, quick, fast, and in a hurray!  Choose God!

Personal Growth: What's Yours?

 

I am trapped at times with this circle of life: we grow up, we go to college/military/or start working and then we move away from home and begin our own family.  We take care of our children and instill the cycle in them.  What do you do when your children don't follow through the traditions of expectations of life?  It can be very frustrating and overwhelming until you release it to God.  

I have come to understand peace is truly a mindset.  The Good Book says Faith without works is dead: So, let's get to work!

In the lesson, "Personal Growth and Develop Strategies" (dated 1-19-2019) outlines the steps we have to take to develop our purpose.  Jesus started young: Luke 2:41-52 shows us publicly when He started to step into His purpose.  We can't sit around and do nothing and expect something.  Do miracles happen?  YES, but through an active person who is physically and spiritually doing something and has a genuine heart.   "Growth and develop does not happen on purpose you have to have an intentional plan.  God can't trust you with more if you can't handle the little you have" (Messenger of the Word).  LET'S PLAN!

1. Have a goal:  What has God placed in your heart?  Then write it down.  Habakkuk 2:2-3

2. Have a plan to grow and develop:  You want to place "soft" time expectations (leave room for the Holy Spirit to guide you).

3. Listen to teachings weekly:  In the area of your interest or where you may need help in. Listen to Encouragement to follow through your plan. 

4. Read a book monthly:   The more you know the more you grow.

5. Have a Mentor:  Spend time monthly with someone who can help you grow.  We need someone in our circle who challenges the way we think; if that's not happening create a new circle of people to dwell. 

" Learn to eat the fish and throw away the bones"- unknown   

Some people will come in your life for the purpose to enhance your plan but not to dwell (Be careful of Seasonal Visits turning into Yearly or Lifetime challenges).

6. File what you learn:  Again, write it down!  Rehearse it!

7. Apply what you learn:  Practice.  Have it become your way of life. 

2022, My goal is to continue to share my children and anyone around me the goodness of Jesus.  I started this BLOG! YAY!!  I continue to have a listening ear.  I read the bible.  I am part of a couple of Bible Study Groups.  Each week I listen to a motivational message(s).  I read ALL the time.  I have 2 Mentors-they are AWESOME!  I have my circle of Believers that encourage me, and I encourage them.  I write down information all the time.   I apply what I learn when trials come up for me or anyone around me.  This is my Personal Growth.  What's yours?

Let Down Your Nets

 As I read Luke 5:1-8 my eyebrows raise, Did Simon Peter just "back talk" to Jesus?  We all have said some remark or back talk when someone told us to do something; then we eventually do the task, but we do it in doubt or non-agreeance.  No wonder Simon Peter cries out later and says, " Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord."  God is SOOO awesome.  He is a miracle worker, but we must understand He does things to HIS UNDERSTANDING- Not ours!  (If we went on our understanding, we would not give things a chance most of the time: remember Simon Peter doubt in Luke 5:1-5.  We react on feelings and our flesh which leads to sin. 

What does Jesus do?   He feeds the people with The Word; then He feed their stomach.  He takes care of our needs.  

It is December 31, 2018, watchnight service.  "Directed by the Master" is the message of the evening.  This title alone is an indicator who is in charge. (Clearly not you or me).  

Jesus said to Simon Peter "Let down your nets.  Wow, not net, but nets. (He knows we have many).  Let go of your doubts and your defense mechanisms.  Trust God!

I know what it looks like, I know what it used to look like but that Season is gone.  Get ready for your next!  "New things are coming, however we have to make decisions based on God leading".

Here are 5 points the Messenger wanted to convey: 

1. Don't get so caught up in the method and you miss what God is doing?

🎯 You will NOT understand everything and it's ok 

2. We have to learn to be adaptable.

🎯 Be able to adjust your plans without complaining.  You must develop the ability to adapt to new methods.  (This is an important one to me because a comment most of the time flies out my mouth- What about you?)

3.  Allow God to direct you.

🎯 We can't make decisions on what we FEEL (If you catch yourself when you say, "Well, I feel" reexamine that statement.  You don't lead yourself.

Remember who is in control.  It is God good pleasure to Bless His people.  We need to be grateful and not take Him for granted.  Proverbs 3:6

4. Take and following orders will lead you to a place of increase.

Half doing what God ask you to do results half to NO increase for you. 

🎯 Be happy about it- if your heart is not right you won't receive increase just doing it for the sake of doing it you will not be blessed.  

5.  It won't make sense.

This goes back to #1: NOT OUR UNDERSTANDING!

We need to do what God wants us to do at times without telling anybody.

🎯 This is a Faith walk (for EVERYONE who believes) Romans 1:16-17

Here we are 2022, thirsty for God more than ever.  We have loved one(s) who are sick and or passed away.  We search to hear a Word and/or a Touch from God.  He is a Comforter if we allow Him to direct our path.  

Life hurts.  Life is not easy, but it can be joyful and peaceful if we truly let God lead us.

*Today I attended a meeting, and we were instructed to write down "hold on change is coming" reference Galatians 6:9.  We are to look at that every time we feel stress, doubtful, and weary. 

Be encouraged!  There is a Lilly in the valley! 

The Answer to Your Questions: PRAYER

 

James 5:11

It was Jan 6, 2019, actually the first message I heard for the new Year, "Prevailing Prayer" given by the Messenger Bishop John Guns.  Now, some preachers holler, some sing their sermons, and/or have a feel-good message which is fine if it draws you to Christ.  I like Bishop John Guns because he educates.  When you leave listening to him you are going to know what, why who, how, when, and where and feel convicted and blessed all at the same time.  What a great year to start out with Prayer! 

What:  Prayer:      Communication with God, an opportunity for God to show up in our lives

                              It is NOT OPTIONAL.  It is a MIGHTY Weapon for Spiritual Warfare. 

                                  "It is a force that moves the hand that moves the world"

Why:    Holy Spirit will show up; When you pray God moves (Prayer heals, and changes occur)

Who:    I am a follower of Jesus; Prayer should be my natural habit:    1John 3:23

How:    1. Your heart must be right.  You have to do right for prayers to be effective: 1John 3:13

            2. Come clean and confess your sins (acknowledge what you are doing)

            3. You must have confidence in your prayer

            4. Listen to God (shhh for a moment...or two) Proverbs 1:28-33

            5. Be intentional:  Faith (be doers of the Word)

When:    All the time (even with small things); Prayer should NEVER be the last resort. 

Where:    Anywhere/ All Places

"Quality of Prayer is based on your walk with God"

We all need a Right NOW prayer! Prevailing (current, most frequent, existing.... aka: NOW)

Now for the hard truths (I thank God for working on me) ........

* When you are mad what do you do? -  Do you pop off or begin to profess God Word "No Weapon..."

* When you are scared (sick or hurt) what do you do? - Do you go to science only/panic or Call on God

* When you are blessed what do you do? - Self absorb or give God the Glory

* When things start going wrong what do you do? - Blame others or yourself or Worship God!

* When your friend or someone you see is not doing well or is sad, WHAT DO YOU DO?

you say:  "I will pray for you". or "you will be in my prayers"... you leave their sight...it left your mind 

or do you Pray right then and NOW!

It is now 2022, Happy New Year!!!  Let's get serious about Prayer!!!  Still Prevailing!!
