Hi... It came to me last night during bible study with my kids and then again, this morning to switch it up a bit and ask those pending questions time to time in my head....
Last night we read Judges 1
Quick background: The 12 Tribes of Israel are in the promise land of milk and honey. They are conquering their land under the direction of God. Joshua is dead and Caleb leads the people to a certain degree.
Question: In Judges 1 it talks about Judah having favor and conquering territory....how come they could not drive out the inhabitants of the lowland?
The bible answers and says because they had chariots of iron. We know God. So, I ask again, why could they not drive the people out of the lowland if this land was given to them to poses?
Always with Love,

Good question, from my research it says: God's promise to be with the Israelites was conditional. If they were obedient, He would be with them, but if they were not obedient, He would not be with them. Judges 2:1-3 tells us that the Israelites were not obedient.
ReplyDeleteIsrael was not. I find it interesting where God will allow in certain places in the Bible to be very specific and in other not so much. It is a great discussion starter 😊
