Ruth 4
You can't have one without the other.
Today time might seem primitive compared to back in the day of the walking out of the Bible. You inherit land and with that comes a widow (a new wife). Let's look at this story from another angle. You receive blessings of Jesus when you first believe and accept Him as your personal Savior. Second, you have to love your neighbor as you love yourself. Hopefully, you love yourself. This requires removing malice, anger, envy, and any type of strife. 2 for 1 ... All or nothing! You simply can't receive the fullness of Jesus Blessings if you don't produce both parts.
Boaz kin had a decision to make. He wanted the land (accepted quickly) but when it was mentioned about acquiring a wife, he said he could not accept it. The man felt like the land was not worth on holding onto if he had to accept Ruth as his wife. The question today is what is worth to you (what is important to you?
Yes, you accept and acknowledge Jesus, but have you accepted the LOVE for people?
You can't pick and choose. It is all or nothing! Jesus says surrender all so you can receive the fullness of Him.
Always with Love,
A.P.E.P.
